Computer – HP Pavilion zv6000

1.Motherboard - ATI Technologies Inc RS480 Host Bridge
2.CPU - Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] K8 [Athlon64/Opteron] HyperTransport Technology Configuration - AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.0 GHz processor
3.Graphics Card - VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon XPRESS 200M 5955 (PCIE)
4.Sound board – don't know
5.OS – Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10
6.Alien Legacy
7.Latest Dosbox .72

I am trying install Alien Legacy via dos-box. I correctly mount the c and d drive and enter the install process. I tell it to "save configuration and install." It says that it can't write the config file, then the installation terminates, sending me back to dos.

I think the problem is that the program looks for a C:/ to install to, but doesn't find it.

Please let me know if you have any ideas

Well, if you mount the drives correctly, and install it correctly, then the only logical conclusion is that your copy of the game is bad.
