I can also add the highest scores to an overall bracket that would include everything.

I am too old to benchmark myself 😁
Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun
Probably it has been done countless time but I am going to suggest it anyway: socket 462 split into Thunderbird/Palomino/Thoroughbred/Barton sections.

I don’t have one of those set up currently.
Maybe I could make a b&w mac g3 aiming for the stars? Think many around here would participate?
Im currently bored and overclocking a Sony Vaio P11 Atom Z560. GMA500 Aiming for the stars. HAHA
Anyone interested in doing Socket A?
Socket A is easy though... But sure. I would join in after my LGA775 benchmarking project.
Someone start a Socket A aiming for the stars.
I suggest breaking them up a bit, Thunderbird, Palomino, Tbred, Barton... ... Though I think the Palomino one would be more interesting, they were kinda board limited, and Tbred got plentiful and quite cheap before they were really "wrung out". I can't quite remember where they got to, but going past about 1800 got difficult.
Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

You mean like we did for Netburst, aiming for the stars?

Nonono, let's do 775! PLEASE!
I am not suited to maintining a thread, but 775 is by far the platform with the highest relative overclocks and cheapest materials.
You can easily get some of the most potent OC boards for under 50 bucks, CPUs for less than ten.
The best RAM can also be acquired for not much more than shipping cost.
Anyone can easily get into it for cheap, and even beginners who don't make the top spots will still achieve super satisfying results anyway, simply because of the big gainz achieved.
I would even give you some super secret tips on how to get one of the absolute best boards for overclocking quadcores for a fraction of the usual used price, and what RAM modules to get for best OC results - THE ANSWER MIGHT SURPRISE YOU!
Yeah, shameless clickbait. But true!
DO IT!
Socket 423 /428 rdram only
I started thinking about a 440LX/EX as an AFTS platform ... most ppl ignoring it or maxing out at 333. Relatively few s370/LX boards around though so even though boards kinda on the cheap side there is the slotket problem. Then also at the high end if encouraging breaking the ghz barrier on it, it's a "throw money at it" thing with a powerleap adapter and a 1.4 Tualatin celeron.
Anyway, should it be a thing, would suggest several aiming points. Max frequency, best superpi, best 3dmark2k1SE, best quake.

What about a socket 7 (no AGP) aiming for tge stars?
