The SGM Pro 18 has made quite a few optimizations and remade some of the instruments, the sound quality has improved significantly.
I think its sound quality is really great now, it can now fully reproduce those attractive, sweet, and pleasant sounds of the 1990s

The ES8D includes a snare drum sampled from the Roland SR-JV80-07/SO-PCM1-03 (1991).

Changelog:
18
-Significantly improved overall sound quality.
-Some instruments have been remade.
-Changed Celesta, Overdrive Gt, PizzicatoStr, Trumpet, Trombone, Bassoon.
-Changed some drum & percussion sounds.
-Added 3 GS presets.
-Some minor fixes and optimizations.

Hello, what's the legal status of the samples used in your soundfont? If they are not safe for commercial purposes, have you considered releasing a "libre" version? Thanks.

Another great update! Thank you for improving this soundfont even further. Although I would like to point out something that should be fixed in the ES8C soundfont is that the Timpani has the wrong pitch. Granted, it was like this in the original E-mu 8MBGMSFX soundfont from back in the 90's. But it sounds wrong in most MIDIs that have this instrument. Here is an example from "On the Hunt" from E1M6 of Ultimate DOOM and what i'm trying to describe.

The attachment E1M6 Timpani with SGM Pro 17.mp3 is no longer available

The attachment E1M6 Timpani with ES8C.mp3 is no longer available

The attachment E1M6 Timpani with E-mu 4MB SoundFont.mp3 is no longer available
