Yeah, the C&C First Decade collection is pretty nice. Though I vaguely recall it needing different patches compared to the individual game releases. Been a while since I last played it, so I could be wrong.

I did recently get a copy of the Heroes of Might and Magic V Collectors Edition. For no other reason that it being available and affordable. It contains the game, both expansions and a bonus DVD. Probably the same content that comes with the fancy "Complete Edition". This one has a funny quirk of the DVD cases being upside down in the cardboard sleeve. Maybe that's the "Collector's" concept.

I wonder how/if that differs from the Heroes V Gold edition that I got a while back.There have been so many re-releases of that game over the years, it's hard to keep track.

I think it's the same, just different packaging. Some releases of the "Gold Edition" did not include the bonus DVD.

I rarely patch games. In my experience using the right drivers almost always improves the performance more so if the game isn't all out broken I just don't bother. If I install expansions they often come with a version (patch) requirement and they have the necessary patch on the disc.

As for C&C specifically, outside of Renegade none of them are glitchy.
