I've not had any problems.

Normally I access Vogons from a Win7 desktop - I don't recall the actual version of Chrome, but I know it wants newer OS to update (so older).

Right now I'm travelling, available devices are:

Phone, Android 16, Chrome 149 - workes OK

Tablet, Android 9, Chrome 116 - workes OK

Tablet, Win 8.1, IE 11 - workes OK

I have problems with Via too, except my WebView is at version 124. Yesterday I put in Pale Moon user agent, it worked, today it doesn't, I put in IE11.

Internet is dying. Maybe it's for the best. Although considering state of the world, a nuke would be better.

Not working on Supermium (v144.0.7559.247, chromium based) - No user agent switcher - Worked for months, until about 2 weeks ago. Works with any other website I go to.

Working on Roytam's Newmoon 28 (palemoon based) - User agent switched to Firefox 82.

No VPN or anything. Location: Netherlands.

Works in current versions of Brave, Chrome, Edge and Firefox for me.

Haven't tried any others.

Only use Chrome on my android phone (Pixel 10 Pro XL).

Btw, those posting they are having problems, what exactly are the problems?

What OS and what exact version of the browser?

Where are you located?

What have you tried to get it working?

What ISP? Are you using your ISP's DNS servers or something else? If something else, what exactly?

Just posting... This is broken, fix it! doesn't really help. (For those of you posting with almost no information)

To be true, its a server-side User-Agent block implemented some days ago. Changing the browser string immediately fixes it, which completely rules out DNS, ISP, or location issues.

Anyways im in spain and most of my test on XP, and dns, tested, isp, cloudfare, google etc

vogons completely killed my Windows 3.1 + WebOne setup, ruining my 386 bedtime sessions! 😉

A first for me, refused to load in Chrome on the iPad but opened fine in Safari on the same iPad

Which is weird because Chrome on iPad uses Safari as its rendering engine.

iPad is using the latest version of IOS and Chrome, located in Australia using Telstra and its DNS.

It's been brought up weeks, if not months ago. Server arbitrarily blocks people's browsers and not send anything, which in Chromium at least shows as HTTP2 protocol error.

I was getting was a connection closed error from Chrome on the iPad, Vogons works on all my desktop machines just fine however so it being a user agent block makes sense.

I mentioned earlier that my firefox on this windows 7 works with Vogons, so for the sake of completeness I tried every other browser that's installed on this machine.

- Edge 109.0.1518.140 : works

- Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.22214 : works

- Google Chrome 109.0.5414.120 : works

- R3dfox 153.0.3 : works

Tomorrow I'll have access to older versions of windows and the browsers they have, so I can report about them.

Make sure that the certificates on your old machines are up to date.

No, what I say is must be in the "modern" side

the ones we use for normal everyday use, like supermium etc

This is why I disappeared for several days: something made the VOGONS forum (though not the VOGONS wiki) unfriendly to Microsoft Edge last week, but that problem seems to have abated now.

I recently had an issue and I only resolved it by changing the server I use with Nord VPN. Before trying a different server I was in contact with Nord trying to resolve it, but then it began working again with the server I had issues with so I dropped it; about a week later it began again. So I've been using the server that it works with.

Same with Nord assuming we are talking about the "ERR_HTTP2_PROTOCOL_ERROR". For US servers: Chicago doesn't work, Phoenix does.....for now.

It's easy to forget this, but not too long ago this forum worked great in Firefox 2.0 tier browsers in Windows 95.

In fact there are many other phpBB forums using the default theme that work fine in such browsers still, and they don't seem to be having any issues.
