If that doesn't help, come back with details on how you mounted your C and D drives, how you did the install, how you configured sound, music etc.

Well 1st problem is in the path "Z:\>mount C "C:\Documents and Settings\your-user-name\My Documents\DOSBox stuff\MyGame"
Where the Documents and Settings come from? going My Documents path doesnt have that <_<
So I did C:\My Documents\DOSBoxstuff\MyGame
and 1st problem happen with that is after the path it says
"Directory C:\My doesn't exist"
and this on my Win 98 as fig was mostlikely to old for my Vista

Windows 98 doesn't have a "Documents and Settings" folder. IIRC, your profile is stored in your Windows directory.

Just make a directory called "Games" in C:\

Ex: C:\Games

and put your games in it.

I got it work on my win98 now by just doing the game thing in my C drive
Tho vary laggy and takes reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly long time for things to load
I dont know if load thing is normal but now that know how do it I going try it on my vista in hopes that it be faster *this was done with 2 btw help may still be needed with 1st and 3rd =o*

Alone in the Dark 1,2 and 3 are real mode games so you'll need to increase the cycles.

Also DOSBox is an emulator so it requires significantly more processing power than the machines the games were originally intended for.

Being why I want work on my Vista
and sadly I ran into two problems

My CD Is E and I have a 2ed Hard drive thats labled "FACTORY IMAGE" as D and its full *I guessing its Vista on it its 9gigs*
Dosbox leted me mount the E and everthing went super UNTIL it was time to start the game typeing AITD2 is what does it but it says

"CD Not Found
0=CDError N
Wrong CD.
Inserez ie disque "Alone In The Dark II" dans le lecteur de CD et Relancez.
Please Insert "Alone In The Dark II" in the drawer and restart"

And again I useing 2 for this at the time

Please tell the way you've mounted the CD in DOSBox... 😕

Maybe time try something else long time ago a Friend gave me a Download of AITD 1 on my Win98 compurter tho sound didnt play the game did
How is this done?
