I didn’t mean to offend you, sorry if I did. There are just certain mannerisms that made me think that. Thank you for clearing this up 😉

Not at all, I just found it interesting you were prompted to put it that way.

For sure: no computer system is ever going to replace Yours Truly [so long as my deliverables can keep outperforming theirs]!

I think we're all in general agreement that the human element is superior, but the point I was prompted to make is AI is not the big threat its detractors portray it as because the responsibility to assert our inherent human worth belongs to us alone and the process of that sliding into decline began well before AI came along to potentially catalyze it. I mentioned I quit social media nearly a decade ago, yet in a way I have found that puts me more in-touch with what goes on in the world around me as well as clearer-thinking on how to respond, and not just because subsequent studied observations have vindicated the notion that there is something sinister about there being screens literally everywhere with inherently-addictive apps that have all but replaced direct human connections with technology-filtered ones. I've never had a problem with technology making us more productive (or more fun) and I never will, but count me among those who draw the line at being expected to assimilate myself into what is essentially a cybernetic collective.

Ars Technica: AI game clones are making indie developers afraid to show their work

Delayed Steam Next Fest demo is a sign of a growing problem for indie devs.

McPixel developer Sos Sosowski has been documenting numerous examples of fellow indie devs complaining of AI-generated clones making wholesale copies of their efforts. Sosowski says the situation puts indie developers in a hopeless bind when trying to promote their work: “Don’t share your game—no sales. Share your game—gets stolen,” he wrote. “How do you even survive as an indie in the current landscape? This is insane.”
