Hi 😀

Is my first msg on the forum, im an old developer and I want to share this tool I've been doing this year

Basically it acts like a guide for porting old msdos games just vibe coding or manually so the LLM's dont get lost, dont have to disassembly anything and just build fast msdos games remakes 😀 It just makes a .NET assembly version and documentates mostly everything so an LLM dont have to judge. At least in the ton of games I've tried. Surely will have bugs or unfinished features with other games. Im very opened to see what happens with those that fails! 😀

Im opened to any kind of feedback, just dont be too much cruel! hahahahah

"just vibe coding or manually"

Why would I want to vibe code stuff for my retro computers? One of the joys of using a retro computer is engaging my brain to figure out interesting solutions to the limitations of the platform

To add onto CursedSilicons point, many people also get enjoy retro computing because they want to get *away* from AI.

Some people just want things to work and don't want to jump through a million hoops (including hunting unreliable, and/or unicorn parts) or configuring emulators/abstractions to the nth degree.

I was a skeptic, but Velocity9x - Open Source Win9x VGA Driver S3/Intel GMA950/Rage has convinced me there's potential there when orchestrated by someone who is already clearly capable of doing it from scratch, but doesn't have 4 lifetimes spare to try manually.

I find it hard to argue with results.

I built:
Convert old ASUS ASC boardviews to KICAD PCB!
Re: A comprehensive guide to install and play MechWarrior 2 on new versions on Windows.
Dos+Windows 3.11+tcp+vbe_svga auto-install iso template
Script to backup Win9x\ME drivers from a working install
