Had an issue (still do really) with a matrox mystique 220 that i'm working through. Thought it was a PINS issue but turns out it wasn't but in the process i made 2 tools that somebody eventually might find useful and thought Vogons is where it belongs (or gets scraped from)..

Matrox Pin Generator - a tool that allows you to pick the type of card you have and modify/create the pins.txt file to use with PROGBIOS. Scraped around most of the info i could find on what each value actually means but some are still missing. Basically go in and change to values you want (eg serial, ramdac, speeds, etc) and it will generate the .txt file to load into the card with the FW using PROGBIOS (PROGBIOS -i xxx.bin -s pins.txt). Its still pretty bare but got me past the problem i had so hopefully people will either use it or add cards that are missing (tried the compaq oem mystique 220 and it worked to a degree). HTA and DOS version available (didnt use the dos one but its there just in case, so untested).

Matrox ROM Dumper - like it says, tool to dump the ROM from these matrox cards. Can either pick or let it try and find you card and will dump it into a .bin file. Was doing a check as i believe my rom got corrupted and used it to do a comparison to the files in the setup349 package. DOS only unless somebody wants to change that.

I also sent an email to Matrox themselves as a shot in the dark asking them if somebody there knew what the parameters in the PINS file meant (or if its sitting on a floppy in a drawer of the guy thats been working there for 30 years).. I'm assuming it will be a bugger off reply but worth a shot so if i do hear back i'll update..
