hello there,

I tried to run DOSBox on my old iBook G3 (800 Mhz) with Tiger (10.4.11) and it won't run 🙁

I double-click on the icon and it only appears in dock for few seconds

This is written in console:

dyld: incompatible cpu-subtype
Dec 21 06:25:42 (my computer's name) crashdump[684]: DOSBox crashed
Dec 21 06:25:43 (my computer's name) crashdump[684]: crash report written to: /Users/(my username)/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/DOSBox.crash.log

what's in the file:

Host Name: (my computer's name)
Date/Time: 2008-12-21 06:25:40.729 +0100
OS Version: 10.4.11 (Build 8S165)
Report Version: 4

Command: DOSBox
Path: /Applications/DOSBox.app/Contents/MacOS/DOSBox
Parent: WindowServer [60]

Version: 0.72 (0.72)

PID: 683
Thread: Unknown

Link (dyld) error:

incompatible cpu-subtype

(it's more times there, it's just still the same)

I know you aren't exactly thirsty for supporting old system on old platform, but still, I think you should know

I guess it can be linking universal binary with non-universal libraries, but who knows

The current official version doesn't run on G3, but it runs perfect on my PowerBook G4 with latest Tiger version.

There is a G3 build at http://www.spam-filter.de/dosbox/dosbox_0.72_for_g3 which runs fine on my older PowerBook G3, created by the DOSBox team own official Mac porter, Rhoenie.
