Mine wouldn't pass any health and safety tests. 😜

WTF? Why do you leave them naked? 🤣

I went on an ebay rampage a while back, and have accumulated loads of junk that now needs testing. I find having the PC's innards laid out on an "operating table" easy to work with, so you can pull things out and push things in without having to delve inside a gloomy PC case. 😀

Pic taken while power on, camera (real cheapo one!) seems good enough to capture fans without them "blurring".

Little power extension cable for gfx card very handy. (ebay - cheap)

KAN, I looked high and low for "Archimedian Dynasty", but I just can't find it!!! Argh! 😒 Was really hoping to test this game, now that I've got round to testing this voodoo.

Tested these games, which I could find:

Screamer Rally. Result: glide not detected. Only saw generic VGA.

Heretic 2. Result OK.

Hexen 2. Result OK.

NOLF. Result Failed. "Error = Could not emulate d3d"

Redguard. OK. Texture corruption occured, but we fixed that problem a while back with an old Vogons thread, so I left it at that.

Descent Freespace. OK.

dxdiag. OK.

(Used reference drivers and tools from the original installation CD.)

This inspires me...wanna see if my Voodoo 5500 is still alive 😀
I think there's a Voodoo 2 patch for Screamer rally...maybe there a patch for later Voodoo's too

Ah, too bad. I've been looking for the game on ebay as well, yet haven't found any. Why are they so rare?

Great. IIRC Redguard doesn't need special environment variables, does it?

Never thought this thread would be that long, but now, for something different.....

To Malik: It's the 5500 PCI VGA connection model. The best one to get (which I have never seen or owned myself) is the DVI Mac BIOS flashed version.

To KAN: Re: Redguard & environment variables: I don't think it needs them. I really should have done more testing on this card. (I've quickly moved on to installing DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.1!)

To Davros: Thanks very much for the patch link! 😀
