Good afternoon everybody, I'm very glad to join your community. 😀

I have missed something in the FAQ, I just can't have my french keyboard working properly in dosbox 0.72 ( on the prompt). I've put keyboardlayout=fr in the proper section of dosbox.conf. The azerty keys work but the \ among others do not work.

I do run XP PRO SP3 and my keyboard is something like this:

Right afaik it is broken (uses the belgian layout or so). It should work
in the cvs (see the development forum on vogons).

You can go in 2 different ways

In the configuration file DOSBOX.CONF

. either in section [autoexec] you type KEYB BE as first line
. either type language=BE at location where you see language=none

It works either way. One method is enough.

I have your configuration and there should be no problem typing a backslash \\\

What is broken ?
The keyboard of chiron ?
Or the command KEYB with specific argument BE ?

I have no problem with AZERTY Belgian layout.
