Hi!
A couple of weeks ago I installed DosBox in my new computer: HP Pavilion tx2000 (Turion64 x2), that runs under Vista 64 service pack 1, I was able to run the DOS programs I need. Just today trying to run DosBox, it starts running but crashes before getting to the window where you mount drive c.

I was trying a new software Speed Meter Pro, which I downloaded a couple of days ago. Could this be the one causing DosBox not to run? or maybe a new software or windows update? Do you have any idea on software conflicts?
Or do you have any idea what could have happened?
I am enclosing a detailed information on my machine.
Thanks for your help,
Regards,
J

Try disabling that software before you run DosBox and see if it still crashes...

Works fine here. Maybe disable all background apps (be sure you are NOT
connected to the internet/network when disabling firewall or anti virus software).

Thanks wd!
It worked..... I disabled one by one all the apps, and was testing. Finally I got to a new beta of PC Tools Spyware for Vista 64. Once this one was disabled, it worked. I restarted the computer and enable once again the PC Tools software, and now there is no crash anymore.
I appreciate your help.
Many thanks to filipetolhuizen who also gave me advice.
