Hello everyone.
I downloaded Premier Manager game from a site called Classic-Trash ( I think the game is abandon so it is not illegal to download). It works fine. But i cannot have sound. At the beginning while it is asking the code there is sound but i think it is not made by SoundCard (May be it is, i don't know much about computer but it include voices similar as "beep" voice of bios).
There is a section in the read me file about technical things;
INSTALLATION
Premier Manager PC will run from floppy, but due to the amount of statistical
and graphical data used, hard disk installation is highly recommended.
If you're going to play from floppy, you'll need to run INSTALL to set up
your choice of control and sound source. The default setup is for mouse and
PC speaker.
To install Premier Manager PC onto your hard disk, insert the original disk
into a floppy drive, log to that drive, and type INSTALL. You'll be offered a
list of options - follow the onscreen instructions and read the help messages.
MEMORY REQUIREMENTS
The program requires approximately 561,250 bytes free as a minimum. In order
to get music, you'll need 581,200 bytes free. For Sound Blaster sampled
special effects, 608,200 bytes are needed. Use the DOS commands "mem" (if you
have DOS 5.00 or higher) or "chkdsk" to display the free memory on your
system.
I thought may be i need to install it by selecting SoundBlaster as sound source. However i cannot set-up it.
I mounted an A drive and copied files to the location, but it asked me again to insert disk-1
I do not think i can buy that game by the time and if you think it is illegal to download this game please let me know. I will symphatise.
