If you can only see COM2 and no COM1 then you shouldn't plug the mouse into COM1. Maybe your COM2 even belongs to an internal modem. Maybe have a look at the bios setup.

Thats a help too. I will look for another mouse, there are hopefully a lot of stores sellings those old things.
But maybe you know one that works (yours) so i can search for a brand or something.
Is there written Microsoft Compatible Or MouseSystem on your mouse? Or is it just working.
Thanks for the help.

I can see both ports, so this does not seem the problem.
Sorry for double posting.
My one is a Trust MI-1100 serial mouse.
And may i ask which OS you are using?
So does it work under WinXP or Ubuntu, with DosBox and Settler1.
Then i would just buy one 😉
Alright, seems a bit complicated to find such an old mouse.
Found a Microsoft Home Mouse ( 🙁 ) on ebay, maybe i can get this, i think it should work.
I finally got the Microsoft Home Mouse and it works fine under Windows (untested under Linux).
Attacked my wife and she got angry.
PS: Why do the soldiers only defend with moral of 100%, while attacking can be higher, this sucks.
Thanks everyone for their patience helping me.
