Hello,

Given, that in Windows I have a PS/2 and an USB mouse connected, is it possible to make DosBox have the PS/2 mouse be recognized as general mouse and to have the USB mouse to be listened to as one of the COM ports?

I have read about serial=directserial realport:com[1|2], but as I get it this won't help me, as my computer does not have a physical serial port any more.

Any ideas? possibilities? did anyone have the same problem (did not find it searching the forum).

A thousand thanks!

Why do you want to do that, though?

I checked, actually it's serial port 1 I need, but I guess that does not make a difference;
It's a great pity usb mouse cannot emulate direct serial 🙁
Any plans to add such support? -- I haven't seen a new computer in ages with physical serial port.

I "need it", to answer ripsaw, 'cause I'd like to enjoy split-screen Settlers 2 in hotseat mode.

If you check the patches section of the forum, someone was trying to do the same in Linux not too long ago. Maybe you can collaborate. 😀

Windows grabs all mice even before you get a chance to get to them...

maybe the Reactos people would know a trick.
