I was curious if there was something missing from the XGA emulation that 8514/a windows 3.11 default drivers don't work, since I thought XGA was a superset of the 8514/a, or am I mistaken?

The source code file isn't named right. It implements the S3 2D accellerator which only has a few things in common with the 8514/a or XGA.
