Some older DOS games require you to swap disks for various reasons, does anyone know how to do that with DOSBox? Is is even possible?

In particular, I've played through the first Wizardry game scenario, and want to move my characters to the second one, but once I've booted the first game and chosen the characters to be moved, it asks me to insert the second scenario disk into the same drive.

I wouldn't think it would be hard to figure this out, but I've spent probably two hours googling and can't even find mention of this problem.

(Also, for the record, I tried copying all the Wizardry I files onto a flash drive, then all the Wizardry II files to another flash drive with the same drive letter -- but when I physically swapped flash drives the Wizardry I program couldn't recognize what I was doing and refused to process anything.)

Thanks in advance for any advice!

If it's a CD press Ctrl-F4 to get DOSBox to recognize the new one. You can also mount several CD images and swap them this way.
IMGMOUNT D "path\CD1.iso" "path\CD2.iso" "path\CD3.iso" -t iso

Thanks for the response, and yeah I caught that bit of advice on the DOSBox help...unfortunately it's not a CD image, it's just a handful of files I downloaded from Abandonia.

I don't suppose the INGMOUNT command will work for files copied to a CD (i.e. not a disk image)?

Also, any chance D-Fend Reloaded will support a disk swap?

A fair numberof old games required disk swapping, I can't imagine this isn't a desireable feature.

Disk swapping works like a charm with the real disks. Try it out sometime...

Who has 5 1/4" floppy drives anymore, other than the odd system collector? That's what my original Wizardry I game is on...
