Freespace 2 update problem...

OK. I've installed Freespace 2, launched patch 1.2. A window appears, I have to browse location for freespace2.exe file, and after first click on "update" nothing, after second click the same button - windows closes and nothing works...but in "Task Manager" I see setup.exe works. Any suggestions?

Tested under Win98 Se and Win XP - without success...

EDIT
..but tested under Win95 and VirtualPC 2007 and it works! 😀

you should now install freespace2 open and the media vp's

Freespace 2 absolutely rocks with a force feedback joystick (allthough it makes the game harder)

Go to Hard Light Productions the best place for the Open Source Freespace project which totaly upgrades the game to modern graphics. Both FS 1 and 2 now run on it, and Turvey's installer is the best way to update and handle the files.
