hello,

i dont know if you are ok with PTC. it was a library for programmers to render graphics in DOS.

im trying to run a dos demo and i am getting a PTC error: Could not create a surface.

i believe it works with 320x200 resolution at 8 bit. old school style..

i was hoping could point me in the right direction to get this to work?

I get the same error using DOSBox. And my PC rebooted spontaneously when using the NTVDM under XP.

Intel i7 5960X
Gigabye GA-X99-Gaming 5
8 GB DDR4 (2100)
8 GB GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (Gigabyte)

with machine et3/4000/ vesa_nolfb,vgaonly and paradise it gives a different error.

well i using Windows XP 32bit with a firegl 8600

i just ran DosBox and mounted a drive where the files are.

then i just ran it.

are there any special things i should be doing ?

Couldn't get it to work on real hardware either.

PTC: unable to initialize (not the exact wording)

Tried S3 Trio64v+, ET4000, with and without univbe, some radeon card, also clean 'F5' DOS boot.

1+1=10
