OK, so I'm using this netbook which has an external monitor output. The netbook's resolution is 1024x600 and the external's resolution is 1280x1024. I am trying to get DosBox to run on this 2nd monitor at its full resolution. If I leave fullresolution=original I only get it to fill up to the size of what my netobook's monitor is. Setting fullresolution=1280x1024 I get a full screen but the prompt is offset to the right. Changing output does not do anything for this.

So, does anybody have any suggestions here? It''s an odd problem that I can't figure out why it can't work. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Well, I did figure out one small solution, which is setting the 2nd monitor to a lower resolution itself. I'm guessing the issue is somewhere in the higher native res of the monitor that DosBox is running on. Well, this is semi-solved so I'll leave it at that for now.

Actually, I did try what hal said in the chan, none of them helped. The monitor adjusting wasn't doing anything nor was changing the output setting.

If adjusting the monitor does nothing then maybe the knobs are broken.
