Hi, all. I'm currently running XP, and I'm trying to get trying to get VDM sound to work with Transport Tycoon Deluxe. First off, when running the program from a Dos prompt within XP, I get a message that the program is trying to access Com2, and would I like to ignore or close? If I ignore this, then it tries to look for Com3, and finally Com4 before going on. I have no idea why it is doing this.
Secondly, the program will drop out after running for only a few seconds with the sound effects on (which is why I wanted to try VDM sound in the first place - I can take or leave the music). I've tried tweaking several of the settings, and tried picking different cards in the sound card setup menu, but no change. I can run the program fine with no sound whatsoever, which is how I'm doing it now, but It'd be nice to at least have the sound effects back. Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
