Okay, for anyone who can help me install/play Star Rangers this would be appreciated. I downloaded the game online, and tried everything and nothing worked. So i brought out my old copy, and still no results...I haven't successfully located any patches, but when i checked the Dosbox game compatibility checker, it told me the game SHOULD work. But, it doesn't! All i get is an error screen, telling me to insert the CD, and try rerunning the game! Its infuriating as this is an old game i grew up with. I've tried installing it both in/out of dosbox and running it in/out of dosbox...nothing works. HELP?! I probaly forgot to mention something else, so ask me if somethings unclear

I'm a complete amatuer when it comes to this stuff 🤣. So. I tried reconfiguring the memory, compatibility, and everything else on the games but nothing happened. So i don't know what to do next. I mount the directories too it, but each time i try to load it, it says its loading, but then it goes to that screen after a few seconds.

Again, what commands did you use? As in what did you type?
Example:
MOUNT D F:\srangers\SRANGERS\CDROM -t cdrom

I mounted the D:\ (CD-rom drive) and tried directly loading it but it told me there was an initialization error, and it cut. So i mounted the Hard drive (E:\) and tried running SRANGERS, and it gave me that error screen...🤣 and then i tried your example, and got "directory doesn't exist" Does that help?

Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra.

Well, I tried.

My example was taken from your screenshot. I was trying to show you the format of the information I was asking for.

I'm guessing from your post that you attempted to play the game from disc.

Try this, mount some folder as C.
If C:\DOS\GAMES is an existing folder on my harddrive I would type this:
MOUNT C C:\DOS\GAMES -t dir

Next, mount the disk location as D.
Switch to D:\ and INSTALL the game.
Launch the game from its installed location.
