Custom Pentium 3 Win98 box (former CompuAdd system):

PIII 650mhz slot-1 (coppermine)
384mb Kingston PC100 RAM (3 x 128mb)
Intel SE440BX-2 slot-1 motherboard (AGP/PCI/ISA)
32mb Matrox G400 Max AGP graphics
12mb Orchid Righteous 3DII (Voodoo 2)
Yamaha YMF724 DS-1 PCI sound (great Dos support with this one)
Samsung 52x IDE CD-ROM
40gb Maxtor IDE hard drive
250W Seasonic ATX PSU
Plain old beige ATX tower case

Compaq Deskpro 4000 (currently on ebay as i don't need it):

Pentium 200mhz MMX
Via VP2 motherboard chipset (PCI/ISA)
64mb PC66 RAM
S3 Virge DX/GX PCI graphics (i think this is 2mb)
Creative Soundblaster Vibra 16 ISA sound card
Lite-On 48x IDE CD-ROM
10gb Fujitsu IDE hard drive (Win98se installed)

My now deceased Olivetti 486 Dos/Win95 box:

486DX2-66
16MB EDO RAM
2MB ATI Mach graphics
Soundblaster 16 ISA CT2290 (the big one!)
810mb Conner IDE hard drive
Creative 8x CD-ROM

I am currently looking for another 486 system as the PSU died (loudly) in this and ruined all the components inside.... not a happy man!

I also have a couple of upto date Core 2 Duo and Quad systems for the latest games.... but who cares about them

😁

i've had some old school builds mainly with intel tutulian cores but, 1 is linux machine and has been acting funky and the other dead and my 700mhz slot a amd system has been acting funky and my had a p1 tower that died so i'm finding some p4 and socket a mob and cpu combo deals and will be upgrading. i hardly classic game and usually on dos box so yeah my systems and have given me some bad luck so i'll just rebuild. nice specs on the first 2 and rip for the 3rd one.

I really like the Tualatin Core P3's. In a lot of cases, they've been faster than P4's I've used.

I have a 1.4GHz and it's never let me down. It's even plenty fast enough to run Virtual PC on it and run old DOS and Win3.x guest OS's on it. it's a great proc from intel. Then they went and ruined things with NetBurst.

I know where you can get a pas+, the catch being they want $50. This card is hidden because it's mislabeled/using some non standard number that doesn't conform to convention, but the card pictures reveal the truth. Thunderboards were made by a few OEMs, one compudyne, called it boomboard, was sold in compusa. Ibm ac525 might be a thunderboard, which is probably the best in luck in finding one, ibm, compaq and dell parts kept around though usually ridiculously overpriced, I've seen os2 site said to use thunderboard drivers, the jumpers sites show a different picture they may or may not be correct. If you could discern what looks like garbage on the screen to me, searching asian selling sites you'll have better luck getting roland modules.
