and if a game palette animates windows freezes

it applys to windows and its technically not a dosbox bug
but me an the SDL team agree that dosbox should not change the hardware
windows palette in 256 C mode because games
that palette animate freeze windows

smeeze: you should take the hint and at read what wd asks for. Just saying Windows is not really reporting which OS you are using. Windows has a lot of versions and by eliminating those that can't run Dosbox still leaves you with a choice of Windows versions from the last 14 years...

DOSBox works fine on Win2000

I think this thread has started off on the wrong foot. Maybe try again as Dominus said, and hope that wd is less grumpy next time around 😜

I don't see where i was grumpy, but a bug report missing the host OS
and the dosbox version is completely useless to me.
