Hi all, let me share this. I was looking for a way to set up a modern 2-stick controller a la PS3 or X360 to work with GP2. Using a keyboard to drive an F1 car is ... well, you don't notice Detroit installing keyboards on the drivers-side of any cars. Although, if it would help sales I'm sure they would...

Goal: steering on left stick, throttle on right stick, shifting on trigger buttons.
Kit: 0.73 on OS X and Powerwave PC controller.

[joystick]
swap34=true
buttonwrap=true

In the game, set shifting to A button 2 and 1 and accelerator/brake to B vertical.

Button wrap is key here, since button 5 and 6, the triggers, become button 1 and 2. You may not need swap34 but the Powerwave's right stick seems to be rotated 90 degrees or something. If you find you need to go left and right for the throttle, remove swap34.

This is pretty awesome. Speed and steering are no longer mixed up on one stick and you have a control that's like the real shifting paddles on an F1 wheel. And you don't have to reach for buttons to shift when your right thumb is on the gas.

However, often it seems that left stick X becomes the throttle mid-race! Could be me, since I may be "modding" the car when I run into things!

Go play,
