1.- Double-click on the .MSI installation file
2.- After finishing, reboot your machine
3.- Download and unzip latest update 2 to program folder
4.- Download and unzip Launchpad components (optional)
5.- Run INSTALL.BAT to register the Launchpad
6.- Reboot your machine

No need to reboot. Only reboot at the very end if things don't work.

On my machine, I got the infamous error message of "DOSdrv cannot be found" if I don't reboot right after install.
Some people also got the error message "This PIF file is not suitable to run" or something like that. I've seen it on a friend's computer. All was cured after rebooting. Both systems running WinXP.

I also thought that adding or removing shell-extensions (i.e. the right-click menu to Run with VDMS) doesn't take effect until rebooting. Maybe that's just for removing?

When in doubt, play it safe and reboot. That way, if it still doesn't work, you know it's not "reboot-related".

I get an error that the path to the PIF files is wrong or something. I've done all the updates and stuff, i've had this program on my computer before and it worked fine, but when i try to reinstall it I get this problem.

Can you get the specific error message and post it here?

I think i fixed it. WHen I tried to uninstall it last time i though it automatically takes the loaders shell of your computer, but it didn't. So when I tried to reinstall it wouldn't work. Then i found the loader file on my computer in which i could never throw away, but know I know why, and went into the folder and did the uninstall.bat on it. Once everything was off my comp i did a clean install.
