Hello 😀
I'm newbie here , but used dosbox about 2~3years.

I upgrade my graphic card to geForce9300(onboard with ZOTAC mini-itx mainboard) from GMA chipset.

...And the problem begun.

I have black GAP on dosbox Fullscreen mode,
And this gap appears on dos-prompt(in dosbox) and gamescreen(in dbox).

surface output : gap on top/bottom of screen(uploaded picture.)
ddraw output : gap on bottom. but size is same as sum of gap with surface.
opengl, etc output : everything displays gaps.

How can i make disappear this gaps?
I need ur help, please.

spec :
ZOTAC geForce9300 board(onboard graphic) with geforce9300 driver.
using samsung LCD monitor.
res : 1280 x 1024
Dosbox v0.73

p.s Thx about reading my broken english 😀

it should be like that

widescreens (16:10) have gaps on left and right
you have a narrow (5:4) screen so you have gaps on top and bottom

so buy a normal screen (4:3)

to set aspect=true you have to:
start->programs->dosbox-0.73->configuration->edit configuration

You can try setting fullresolution=1024x768 and some other output besides surface. Then you need to set your video card to scale to full screen or let your display scale it. See the nvidia control panel. And keep aspect=true.

I've got the same problem except I only get a gap at the bottom of the screen.

It's most annoying.
