hi guys.i've been having some trouble with all my dos games.i can't seem to get them to work on my xp.
for example on my C partition have a folder OLD in which i have a subfolder F with the game f-29 retaliator which i can't get to work.i use dosbox on all my games and 98% of them don't work.and i just don;t know why.maybe some of you can help.so this is what i do hopping to get it going:

Z:\>mount C C:\Old
Z:\>C:
C:\>cd F
C:\F>RETAL.exe
and after this it just takes me back to C:\F>
nothing else happens.can someone help me?

I think Retaliator requires to be run from (virtual directory) C:\RETAL, so maybe try to rename the 'F' folder to 'RETAL'.

i ran it with a folder c then a sub folder called retal then drag c folder into dosbox's app executable.

reinstall the game from the original source, it might be that it wants a specific folder hirachy and that will be solved by installing it.

i got the game in a .zip .so i can't install it since it was already installed in the zip.but i gave it to a friend and it worked perfect.don't know why it isn't working for me.
