Having enough trouble with my previous Glide build (DFI socket 7 mobo, VIA VP3 chipset+ K6-2/500) I removed the mainboard from the case and replaced it with a Tomato socket 370 (VIA 693 chipset).
Put in the old classic Celeron 466, 2x64+128 SDRAM (the board takes up to 768), ATI Rage 128 16 Mb and 2 mismatched Voodoo2 12 Mb. SLI works.
Then 8+4 Seagate HDD's, a spare CD-ROM drive and another classic (some hate it, some like it, but IT IS a classic), Soundblaster PCI 128.
It was not my intention to build a Glide rocket (otherwise I would had put the Voodoos in a socket 462 board, coupled with an underclocked Sempron 2400+ and a Sapphire Radeon X800 GT), just a functional well balanced SLI system.
Y2K box: AMD Athlon K75 (second generation slot A)@700, ASUS K7M motherboard, 256 MB SDRAM, ATI Radeon 7500+2xVoodoo2 in SLI, SB Live! 5.1, VIA USB 2.0 PCI card, 40 GB Seagate HDD.
