Hi Guys!

Just rediscivered a bunch of old games. I have fond memories of some of these!

I have Dosbox loaded and trying to run a couple of them.

Having trouble with Janes Longbow. I can get to the C|LONGBOW dos LB command but then it asks about loading SMARTDRV and stays at the command line no matter what I do.

Any suggestions?

try putting
c:\dos\smartdrv.exe /x (replace c:\dos with the patch to smartdrv.exe)
in autoexec.bat

the readme should give you advice about smartdrv

"Limited success has been achieved at getting this game to run on modern PC systems by using the MS-DOS emulator DOSBox. The biggest problem here is the low framerates, and even on the lowest graphics settings, the game plays like a slideshow, rendering it nearly unplayable (on low end PC), however on modern dual core systems the game plays smooth with full details (if parameters in DosBox.conf file are properly prepared i.e. memsize=63, cycles=max)."

ps: have you tried under ntvdm it does run in win95 dos mode

not sure if this patch is fro longbow gold or upgrades longbow to longbow gold (adds windows and glide support i beleive)
