Im at a loss... i got the game as a present when i was a kid. i only ever got to play it once, then i cried when my first norn died and my dad got po'd and deleted the game. ever since I've never been able to run it cause the old computer stopped running it.
Now i have my own computer that is stronger then i need to run it and I am not crying over the loss of a norn but the frustration and lack of sleep im having over trying to get it to run.
The game is called Creatures 2, it was for windows 95/98/NT but had issues with NT. it barely ran on windows XP. it was possible through 98/NT compatibility mode.
I have Installed the game to C:/Creat2 to make things easy to find
Im on an HP Pavillion dv2990 artist edition running vista 32bit OS.
I have sat here for almost eight hours trying to get this game to run, and four of those hours trying to get it to run in DOSBox. All i get is:
Unable to change to: Creat2\launcher.exe
ive tried everything thats in the guilds. ive mounted the disc, installed the game, scanned the disc, mounted my drive found the game and followed the 60 seconds to get your game running as well as the noob pictorial one...
i guess... since ive followed instruction word for word and failed... that im never going to play a game ive been trying to play since its release in like 1998. because obviously, running it in a virtual CS isnt going to work, running it in compatibility mode isnt going to work, neither will using admin mode, running it in DOSBox or running in any combination of them. It's a hopeless, futile attempt at trying to enjoy something I've wanted for over ten years.
now if you will excuse me its eight in the morning and i haven't slept yet. if you have any idea how to make something this frustrating and upsetting to work, your input is more than appreciated.
