I am puzzled about the need of DBLBUFF.SYS ...
Assuming a user only uses DOS on a pc that has only the onboard IDE controller, is there a need to load DBLBUFF.SYS too?
All I could find is:
The Dblbuff.sys device driver is used to perform double buffering which is required to provide compatibility for certain hard-disk controllers that cannot work with memory provided by EMM386 or Windows running in 386 Enhanced mode.
I am currently using DOS 7 that comes with win98SE installation, I pretty much deleted all windows files, so there is no way they load 😊
thanks for any info...
