Simple question for owners of really old crates
What kind of machine would have a speedsys CPU benchmark of about 5.5?

Acording to the programm, this must be something between 286-16 and 386-33, but resolution is rather low on that end of the bar. Does anyone have a real score?

I get this score on a P2-450 with disabled internal cache. And yes, Wing Commander plays just fine. Could be a little bit faster. 😁

And indeed: memory timing in speedsys gives flat lines. Reaching whopping 60MB/s for writing.

Now this is what I call slow!

486DX/25 with L1 turned off: 5.49

I guess it's about as fast as a 386/25. However, don't take SST (and other) CPU benchmark results too seriously.
Even if the numbers match, it doesn't mean that every game from the 386 era will run at the correct speed on a PII with disabled caches.
