Eh?
I've been visiting VOGONS only occasionally since I got addicted to WoW around 4-5 years ago. I recently quit WoW, though, and have been going crazy playing lots of stuff that I haven't had time to until now. I haven't made it back around to DOS games yet this year though 😀
I built a new Win7/Core i7 based system in December and have been mostly playing old Windows games on it (finished Deus Ex 2 and SW:KotOR 1 so far). I did get my MIDI synths working with my new box though, so it's only a matter of time... I do want to test Battlespire in DOSBox on my new system at some point to see if it's playable at 640x480. I also picked up the X-COM games when they were on sale on Steam (the DOS ones are bundled with DOSBox) but haven't played them yet because the first one has a >200 page manual.
I also removed Win7 RC1 from my laptop and installed Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic) as a dual-boot with XP. I downloaded DOSBox from the Ubuntu package manager, but haven't given it a spin yet (mostly I've been using Ubuntu+Wine to play Baldur's Gate 1 since it runs better there than in XP).
Currently I'm semi-seriously playing:
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II (new desktop)
- Baldur's Gate 1 (old laptop)
- Final Fantasy V Advance (GBA SP)
Stuff I've played a bit but haven't been sucked into yet:
- Batman: Arkham Asylum (new desktop)
- Red Faction: Guerrilla (new desktop)
- Dragon Age: Origins (new desktop)
Stuff in progress that's slid to the back burner:
- Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii)
- Starcraft: Brood War (old laptop)
- Warcraft III (old laptop)
- Fallout 3 (new desktop)
