Mobo: Slot 1, Intel 440 BX, Asus P2B rev 1.12, latest BIOS
Gfx: Leadtek Winfast GeForce 4 Ti4200
I switch on power, the BIOS POST information screen looks badly corrupted. I get to the safe command prompt, then press CTRL-ALT-DEL, at which point the BIOS POST screen reappears looking 100% OK. Windows 98 then behaves OK. If I switch off power, and retest this situation, the same thing happens again and again. In other words, this "problem" can be easily reproduced - it's not a "one off".
I have tried 2 different PSUs, and 2 different types of SDRAM. I have not changed the mobo or the CPU yet. Any ideas please people? Thanks a lot.
