Hey all!

I have to say that I love dosbox! I can play all those games I loved as a kid!

However I have a problem,

If I am in a game and I press Ctl F10 to release the mouse or Alt Tab to another window I get REALLY bad slow down when I return.

anyone else found this and know how to stop it?

I'm using Windows XP and the latest D-Fend Reloaded and that uses DOSBox v0.73

Sooooo Dfend Reloaded isn't good?

Ok..... is there a front end you'd recomend instead as I don't like the thought of having to edit my Conf files manually every time.

Ok, I Made sure I downloaded the latest DosBox from the website (it's 0.73 which is the same as the one included in DFend Reloaded) created a conf file for my game and ran it in DosBox directly... I get the same issue.

I am using Windows XP, 2gig of RAM with Dual core.

However I just realised something:

I set the priority background to Pause.

When I set this back to normal is cured the issue.

i suppose keys you used for leaving dosbox got stuck and when you go back they are kept pressed resulting decreased performance. Could you try setting it back to pause in dosbox.conf and after you press ctrl-f10 or alt-tab and back press each key you used a few times to unstuck them and check whether it helps. (so press ctrl a few times and them f10 a few times, or alt and tab etc.)
