Any reason why? When trying for a 640x480x16 display from a Voodoo2 in ioq3 or OpenArena which uses SDL, it just displays a black screen from the host card, and it's also in 32-bit color. I tried the latest FastVoodoo2 drivers, latest official drivers, several MiniGL wrappers and they all lead me to the same black screen

I should note with SDL, it 'works' with PowerVR PCX2. It's something up with trying to display the second display and SDL won't let that happen because SDL is a jerk.

Any 3dfx enthusiast know how to work around this SDL bug? I think it applies only to the Voodoo2 and the Voodoo Graphics.

I would guess because these cards are not VGA compatible, probably missing some functionality SDL relies upon.
