Could anyone recommend After Burner-like game for PC?

Well I've been very busy lately; simply no time for demanding games like serious flightsim. But I still love flying games nonetheless, and I'm looking for After Burner-like game for PC.

Does such game exist? I remember, somewhere back in 2001, I borrowed a "value pack" CD from a friend (containing games like Beach Head 2000 and such). One of the games included is almost like After Burner (but with true 3D graphics), and it was quite addicting. Alas, I don't even remember the title. I thought it was Ace Combat, but as far as MobyGames and Ebay is concerned, there is no such thing as Ace Combat for PC.

So could anyone recommend such game for PC?

Never thought this thread would be that long, but now, for something different.....

Havnt played afterburner but im guessing its an arcade flightsim
how about:

tom clancy's hawkx
a bit older but one of the topgun games (fire at will is the latest one)
jetfighter 2012
maybe echelon + echelon wind warriors
yager
rogue squadron
gun metal

Update: I decided to download the game from here instead. The softonic download requires a specific 'Softonic Downloader" software, and I'm quite reluctant to find out whatever malware/spyware/adware comes with the software.

Never thought this thread would be that long, but now, for something different.....
