Since It it specifically says that it supports it and a large number of people are running it on XP...Yes, it works in XP.

My question is why did you jump to that conclusion? When you download something and it won't open or run, the most logical deduction should be that the file is corrupted; either before or during the download.

Try downloading it again. If it still won't open after download, you might have to try downloading it from a different site.

Do you have the exact error message that is shown by Windows Installer? As Nicht pointed out, ii could be a corrupted file, but you can also have a problem with directory permissions like the one described in this thread

Before I got to read your comments it turned out that the file was indeed corrupted. It worked after the third or fourth download. Thanks anyway. 😀 😀
