Using novert in dosbox DOOM

So, I have the Steam versions of Doom and a bunch of other games running on dosbox in the id Super Pack, and I found this nifty little thing here http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=12039

Problem is, I can't seem to get it to work. I put the .com file in the base folder and added -novert to the launching .bat and it does nothing, the mouse is still used to move back and forward instead of just swiveling around

I don't get why adding "-novert" to something should do anything. What it looks like you need to do is add a line to the .BAT file to run the .COM file before running the game.

Usage:
Type "novert" in DOS or a DOS window for turning it on,
and type "novert /u" to turn it off.

It's not a switch. You have to run it separately before you start a game.

Ok, so, how exactly would I do that. Do I need to open the game then run the .com file or do something else?

Before you start a game. So as long as novert is in your Doom directory.
mount c C:\PATH
C:
CD Doom
NOVERT.COM
DOOM.EXE
