I am using dosbox with a new windows 7 installation. When I edit my dosbox config file (whether manually through users\<USER>\AppData\Local\DosBox or through the windows start button>all programs>dosbox>configuration>edit configuration) no matter what changes I make, they do not take effect when I save the file and open dosbox. I can't figure it out. What I want to edit my .conf file to is:

[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
mount c c:\users\public\dagger
c:

so I don't have to keep mounting my c: drive, but none of these commands actually happen when I save the file and open dosbox. It keeps starting me off at the good 'ol z: directory, with nothing mounted. I can actually completely delete everything in the .conf file and dosbox doesn't change at all, like it isn't even using this file at all.

Everything works perfectly. What a simple solution to an annoying problem. When I installed it I just let it go to whatever the default installation was. Thank you much for the help!
