Sharon. No offense, but we must have more info than this. All I got from your post was that you have XP, sound problems, and that your name is Sharon.

Give us a description of your system, please. Processor, sound card, etc... If you have trouble identifying your hardware, try AIDA32 (the "Personal" version). AIDA is very good at giving detailed information. The ZIP version doesn't even need to be installed. Just unzip and run the aida32.exe

You need to tell us what PD is. Don't abbreviate a game name on the presumption that we will know what it is. Give us the full name at least once your first post.

I did a search and found that you (apparently you, anyway) did make a post on the Pandora Directive thread.
