Hello again
>How does that take care of video card type . . .
This is all catered for in the .conf fie eg dosbox.conf
But I have now twigged, at last how to use the -conf parameter in the dosbox commnand line
So taking doom as an example where on drive C: I have the folders
DOOM
Dosbox
And storing the doom specific video, sound settings etc in doombx.conf stored in the DOOM folder, u could use:
cd\
cd Dosbox
dosbox -c "mount c c:\DOOM" -c "c:" -c "doom" -conf "C:\DOOM\doombx.conf"
As bat file stored in DOOM folder
The whole process could be repeated using different game folders eg
c:\wolfen etc
with similar batch file and conf file in each
Should work well and be efficient, runtime wise, in practise
To ease the .conf file customisations, dos box conf editor could be used
Have looked at a few frontends D.O.G is pleasant but seems to mount things in rather peculiar way. DBGL, I agree mounts things intelligently but I suggest, if a particular game does not run well, u could try the batch file approach I have outlined above.
Many thanks to the dosbox developers
Happy blasting
Regards
