I bought a HP Pavilion dv6-2150us notebook/laptop in early February 2010.
Basic specs...
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate RTM 64-bit
CPU: Intel i3-330M running at 2.13 GHz, released in January 2010
Socket: 1156 LGA
Memory: 4 GB DDR3
Motherboard: HP Model 3658 (32.25), Rev 02
BIOS: F.1A (newest) -- BIOS vendor is Insyde
Graphics: Intel GMA (Graphics Media Accelerator) HD, Rev 2
Sound: IDT HD Audio Codec / Intel Display Audio
My problem does NOT involve a game. I have used DOSBox 0.73 previously on 3 different PCs, but all running Windows XP or 7 32-bit. I have never had a problem like this.
I decided to install DOSBox 0.74 on my new laptop and noticed a few issues. It should be noted that I have since installed DOSBox 0.73 on this laptop and have the exact same issues.
I noticed in DOSBox 0.73 and 0.74 that the key with | and \ (above Enter) does not work correctly in DOSBox. When I press the | \ key, it operates as if it is the } ] key. The } ] operates as if it is the { [ key. So, it is like these two keys have been shifted one place to the left.
The { [ key does nothing at all.
I also noticed the following keys do nothing at all within DOSBox:
" ' key
? / key
~ ` key
When you press any of these four keys ({ [, " ', ? /, ~ `), it is as if you aren't pressing a key at all.
Outside of these issues where 2 keys seem to be shifted to the left and the 4 other keys do nothing, I don't see any problem. But, because DOSBox doesn't have Paste feature (that I know of) and I can't enter a \, I have no way of mounting (that I know of) folders, drives, etc to be able to run a game or anything else.
Any feedback or help on this would be great appreciated.
