For those who have been experiencing this for almost 3 years, get the 257.15 drivers and you'll have your DX 5 and 6 games working again.

I could notice that from my testings, it didn't happen with a single game... However there are still minor problems, like the AA bug on Falcon 4.0, Jet Moto got broken again and Flight Unlimited still can't run due of failing to set display mode to 640x480 (all other games can).

You all need to click on "Beta and Archieved Drivers" as it's a beta.

I've never heard of this before. In which drivers did these problems first appear?

Monster Truck Madness 1
Monster Truck Madness 2

The first 1xx.xx driver from nvidia already had this bug.
It was exclusive in Windows XP drivers only. You won't see this happen in Vista/7.

If it was affected by this slowdown problem it's fixed by now.

Project IGI was working in Vista on my ATI DX10 cards but not my NV 8800. Maybe it works now though with these new drivers.

Even on the Radeons though it has speed issues which is of course crazy at this point in time. It looked like there was something goofy going on with geometry culling.

Not every DX 5 and 6 game was affected by this. It took more time in some than in others to slowdown, so depending the time you played, you wouldn't notice, but most did in seconds. If your game was in the list, than it was certainly affected by this, as also stated from other people at the nvidia forum. If you never had slowdown issues with this game, it was never affected.
