Hi,

I've used 0.73 with COM1 mapped to serial1 as directserial. As I understood serial1 is the DOS COM port COM1 and so on.
This is currently working. But no other COM port can be used i.e.
serial2 with COM1 or COM2
or serial1 with other than COM1

So I tried 0.74. In 0.74 there is NO COM port working.

I'm using Windows XP and com0com for virtual nullmodem. Other applications have no Problems with com0com. I'm using it extensively.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Thx
Andy

Yes. Like:

serial1=directserial realport:COM2
serial2=disabled

or

serial1=directserial realport:COM1
serial2=directserial realport:COM6

The only configuration working in 0.73 is:
serial1=directserial realport:COM1

In 0.74 this doen't work too.

This is how I call DOSBox:

start c:\Programme\DOSBox\dosbox %1 -conf dosbox_test.conf -noconsole -noautoexec

> NO COM port working

At which point?
Have you had a look at the DOSBox status window?
What serial devices is this about (if any)?

Sorry. It's always good to talk to somebody. Now I've found the problem.

It's the god damn windows.

When you have a look at my start batch there's a %1.
So I drop a folder on the start script and DOSBox will mount this at C.

But windows changes the current working dir to elsewhere and the special test.conf is not found and the default from my user dir is used. There serial1 is mapped to COM1 and the other are disabled. Hmph.

Now without the option -noconsole I can see wich conf is used and how the COM ports are mapped.

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry.
