A co-worker brought in his old Socket A parts, and among them was a Voodoo 5, 5500 AGP so I snagged it and the PC133 Memory Modules, all for free as he was giving the parts away to a good home 😁

Didn't really want the CPU and motherboard as I already had a similar T-Bird system.

Got to clean up the video card and test it out in my dual-boot 98-SE/Win2k box as it has an agp slot but my Voodoo 5, PCI card is installed there now.

If I remember correctly you couldn't run two of these together in the same box correct ???

Just make sure the AGP supports 3.3V.

You can run both Voodoo5 AGP and PCI together in the same box. Would be useless, but cool.

If by "together" you mean "SLI", then no. VSA-100 doesn't support SLI from different cards.

Thanks for the reminder on this one, I checked the manual and it clearly states only for cards supporting 1.5vdc 🙁

Oh well, I will find an older AGP motherboard for testing and see how well the card works.

My PCI model is still doing just fine in this current machine.

UPDATED:

Looking through my old parts box I found a nice super-socket 7 mobo with an AGP 2x slot, should work fine with this AGP card.

However, I also did some looking at the mobo that this was running in and it's an older Asus A7V board with an AGP 4x slot, here's to hoping nothing got damaged but I need to test some things out first that is for sure 😀
