Hi all, I was so lucky today, that I found an old wreck of a pc being at my local dumpster/container place behind my building where I live. And well I was throwing two bags of garbage out, but that was nothing new, since I do that a lot (I throw two bags out very often), but back on topic. I found that old pc, and since I looked inside of it, and what did I see ? well I saw it had an old S3 TRIO64V2/DX, and a Creative Soundblaster VIBRA 16C (CT2505-TDQ2) , and I thought "hmmm I am going to take that PC, the VHS, and screw the screws loose from the VHS , since I need some screws".
But why am I thanking vogons ? because if it wasn't for you guys/gals then I would not have been aware of the CT serial stuff on the Creative Soundblaster Cards , so thank you very much 😀
And oh by the way, it is not named VIBRA 16, it is named what I wrote 😀 even though it looks like this fellow right here
http://cgi.ebay.ie/Creative-CT4180-VIBRA-16-C … =item4a9932f7a7
Except it does not contain the name VIBRA 16 on the card, but instead being called SoundBlaster and then on the chip you can read VIBRA 16C CREATIVE TECH '95
CT2505-TDQ2
9719-SS2896C2
and the card is called MODEL : CT4180 (it says that with small letters right next to the SoundBlaster name.
So thank you a lot vogons 😀 cause you made me learn something , without me knowing it , and me just "casually" reading those posts 😀
and oh yes, it is an ISA card 😀
Oops, I also forgot to mention I found an old 8X Creative CD rom drive with the pc, and some other stuff, which I can always explain. which is a cable that has a female printer port to it, and another cable that has a male printer port , and a male DB9 on it. And the soundcard also has the cable you can connect to the CD drive too 😀
