Hi all, new here.
Got dosbox running on a Macbook Pro C2D 2.33 ghz, 3 GB ram

I am trying to play Space Quest 6 and the game text is too fast to read
sound video all work fine
you can adjust text speed in the games control panel, have that turned all the way down -- still too fast

I tried switching to a slower cpu type, and reducing cycle % to the point right before it hangs, and it still displays too fast to read

also have used other core settings

here is my current config:

cycles=auto
cycleup=10
cycledown=20
